Thanksgiving is looking a little different this year. With the massive challenges 2020 has brought us, the holidays are not unaffected. State-wide restrictions are encouraging one household holiday celebrations, discouraging travel and many people are finding their traditional holiday plans on shaky ground.

However, there is always something to be thankful for. Whether it is a new found quarantine skill, small acts of kindness from neighbors or a heightened appreciation for loved ones, we hope that everyone can find a glimmer of happiness this Thanksgiving despite the presence of COVID-19.

Here at CSA, we have found that some things we are most grateful for are served in a 12 (or 16) ounce can, carbonated, taste delicious and warm up the soul. We have some excellent releases for your celebrations.

Crooked Stave

The next release of the Petite Sour Series from Crooked Stave is here! 1400 pounds of plums were crushed by hand to create this excellent juicy sour from our sister company.

They have used everything from Passionfruit to Marionberries in the Petite Sour series but for the first time ever we are using JUICY plums. These plums are ripe for the picking and exhibit a beautiful blue-ish hue with a soft acidity. A golden sour base lends subtle funky sour notes and the plums create a round fruity flavor. Petite Sour Plum is fresh off the canning line and we are ready to take it to market!

Uhl’s Brewing Co.

Stout season is in full force! We have another prime example of a finely executed coffee stout. Coffee beans are a difficult ingredient to work with because of their vulnerability to be too bitter or have a green pepper aspect. However, Coffee Roasters from Uhl’s executes the proper coffee profile perfectly.

Coffee Roasters is in collaboration with Ampersand Coffee Roasters out of Boulder and features a Honduran Coffee Bean. This fair trade, organic coffee bean expresses notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar and a slight roasty-ness. The alcohol is very well hidden in this 8.7% coffee forward stout and begs the question “is that coffee in your beer or beer in your coffee?”

Blackberry Farm Brewery

Blackberry Farm out of Walland Tennessee is known around the world for their Classic Saison. In the same way American wines upended the notion that France produced the best wines in the world in 1976, Blackberry Farm bested the world with their Classic Saison in 2016.

But today, they make much more than just the best saison in the world. They make dubbels and brett-focused beers, Pale ales and kolsches, porters and lagers and everything in between! We are just lucky enough to work with one of the most highly regarded breweries in the world and couldn’t be more pleased to represent their wares in Colorado- home to some of the most highly regarded beer drinkers in the world.
